Junior season: 1st team All-Conference. Despite Bradley Tech receiving forfeits in two of its ten games, Horne still managed to rush for 1162 yards and 12 touchdowns last season. Strongly built at 5-10, 195 pounds and carrying a low center of gravity, Horne possesses outstanding balance and vision, and is capable of running through tackles as well as bouncing it to the outside and using his speed to run away from defenders. He recorded a 4.54 second 40-yard dash at the Michigan State camp with a 36-inch vertical jump. Sophomore season: A first-team all-conference selection as a sophomore, Horne totaled 66 carries for 631 yards and 13 touchdowns last season. He also tallied 73 tackles, nine tackles for loss, three sacks and one interception as a linebacker on defense. One of the top performers from the class of 2012 at the recent Nike Combine in Chicago, Horne posted a SPARQ rating of 81.18 after recording a 4.82-second 40-yard dash, 4.65-second shuttle, 32.7-inch vertical jump and 38.5-foot power ball toss. He also reports a 305-pound bench press, 425-pound squat, 255-pound power clean and 505-pound deadlift. A participant in track and field, Horne recently finished as a sectional qualifier in the 4x100 and 4x400 meter relays. Horne boasts a 3.925 cumulative GPA. |
